Springbig + Dispense Ecommerce Integration Guide

Part 1: Enabling the Integration

User interface is subject to change at the discretion of your POS provider. For the most accurate and up-to-date information, please consult your POS provider directly.

  1. Navigate to the left-hand menu

  2. Click Store

  3. Click Integrations

  4. Enable the Springbig toggle

     

  5. Enable the toggle

  6. Enter the Springbig auth token 

    1. Ask a Springbig account manager for the auth token.

    2. Please ensure there are no edits such as spaces before or after the auth token.

  7. Click Save

Part 2: Customers

  1. Navigate to the left-hand menu

  2. Click Customers

  3. Click the + button on the top right

  4. Enter phone number, email, name and other desired information

    NOTE
    : Phone number or email are required since Springbig uses either or as a customer main identifier.

  5. Click Save

  6. Identify whether customers opted into Springbig loyalty by clicking on a profile and viewing if a customer has a signature included in the loyalty section.

    NOTE
    : Opting into loyalty entails consenting sending a customer profile to Springbig to receive points. This is not explicit marketing consent.

  7. Another method to view loyalty customers is by navigating to the Customers tab and filter by loyalty.

Part 3: Orders

  1. Select customer, navigate to the top right and click View Store.

  2. Add items

  3. Click View Cart in the bottom right

  4. Click Check Out on the bottom right

  5. Either continue as a guest, log in, or create a new account

  6. Enter the desired information if wanting to save customer information to the order

  7. Click Sign Up For An Account to create a login

    1. Email is required

    2. Enter password

  8. On the bottom of the page, click Join to enroll in Springbig loyalty





  9. Enter name and click Join

  10. Once ready, click Checkout

  11. After the order is placed, Springbig then receives the customer profile, which includes this data:

    1. First name

    2. Last name

    3. Phone number

    4. Email

    5. Birthday

    6. Med/Rec

    7. Region

    8. POS ID AKA Customer ID

Part 4: Reward Redemptions

  1. Only customers who enrolled into loyalty and signed in will see their points balance, rewards and offers at the checkout page.

  2. Be sure to have your Springbig loyalty points configured correctly. The reward should have both discount type and discount value filled in so the discount can be applied to your cart. 

  3. Only one reward can be applied to the cart. (Although we will see later that one reward and one offer can be applied) 

  4. The reward will be applied as a line item to the cart. 

NOTE: Dispense does not process rewards (deduct points) but rather sends a note to the POS indicating what reward to redeem and process.

Part 5: Redeem Offers

  1. Same as rewards that they have to be configured correctly with discount type and discount value in order to properly be applied at the cart. 

  2. There is a limit of one offer and one reward that can be applied to your cart. Offers are not point costly therefore do not display a point cost next to it. (The first reward is an offer)

  3. The is an example of the cart with both a reward and an offer applied.
